Big Little 9

Play your way through a course designed to offer an abundance of fun for both the seasoned golfer and amateur

WHERE IS IT? An easy 15-minute drive from Cape May on the Garden State Parkway. Take exit 9 and you’re basically there!

WHY SHOULD I GO? Big Little 9 is owned and operated by the Morey family, who are responsible for the world-famous Wildwoods boardwalk attractions. Bringing their expertise for fun to the game of golf, it’s not called the Happiest Golf Course on Earth for nothing.

Big Little 9 is a charming par 3 course that sprawls over 89 serene acres of meadows, willow oaks, ponds and even waterfalls. The course’s designer was Fred Langford, an internationally renowned architect who became an expert on designing waterslides.

The course offers a fresh and cheerful ambiance that provides a satisfying challenge for more serious golfers, though there are shorter length tees for a novice looking to test their skills as well.

Enjoy a family-friendly golf experience where shoes are optional, and BYOB is welcome. A trip to Big Little 9 also won’t chew up half your day. A typical nine-hole round takes around 90 minutes, though the course speed record is an impressive 15 minutes. On your vacation, we’re not expecting you to be challenging that record any time soon! Rental clubs are available for your convenience. While it’s a lovely course to walk, there are electric and push carts available.

INSIDER TIP There’s a lot of water, so you may need a few extra golf balls. You can always grab a few extra used golf balls in the Pro Shop!
