Cape May Point Arts & Science Center
A leading non-profit engaging the community through exhibits, art galleries, writing workshops and hands-on learning experiences!
WHERE IS IT? Perched at the tip of the Cape May Peninsula, where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean, in the midst of the Atlantic Flyway, one of the world’s most important migratory routes.
WHY SHOULD I GO? The Center is at the heart of a thriving ecological and historical landscape, making it a must-visit destination for nature lovers, history enthusiasts, artists, writers and researchers.
Wildlife & Conservation
Witness the largest concentration of horseshoe crabs in the world. Explore a critical habitat for migratory raptors, including hawks, owls, eagles and falcons. Experience the world’s largest butterfly migration, as thousands of monarchs pass through Cape May each fall.
Cutting-Edge Research & Citizen Science
Help scientists track monarch butterfly migration with tiny tracking devices. Learn about bird migration and conservation efforts. Discover how research is shaping marine mammal conservation. And join research projects focused on preserving a unique biodiversity.
Focused on Arts & Science
Step into this inspiring hub on any given day and you might find painters capturing a sunrise on canvas, writers shaping their next chapter, musicians preparing for a performance, or scientists advancing research rooted in the natural world around us.
The historic building has served many roles over the years, from a hotel hosting presidents and congressmen to a World War Two military headquarters, protecting the Atlantic coast and Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, and a retreat for the Sisters of St. Joseph for 112 years, dedicated to teaching and nursing.
