Antojos

Where Is It? At the Cape Plaza center on Bayshore Road, a short drive north of Cape May.

Why Should I Go? Your tastebuds will demand it! Owner Jehovanny Nuñez, aka G, who many will recall from his years serving up the goods at Big Wave Burritos, opened his Mexican dessert eatery.

This is dessert as you’ve probably never tasted it. And well worth the trip! Try the chamoyada, a cup of frozen and fresh mango drizzled with sweet-and-sour chamoy. Other highlights include ice cream sandwiched in concha rolls and the wildly original tostilocos — a bag of Hot Cheetos which gets ripped open and is given a riotous treatment that includes hot sauce, lime juice and Japanese peanuts. “It’s super-weird,” says Jehovanny. “But people love it.”

Insider Tip: Also check out the insanely good Mexican food served up by G’s brother Ruben at El Pueblo Taqueria, just a few doors down.
