Why Should I Go? If you are an experienced diver, want to get certified or are in search of more adventurous diving opportunities, look no further! This full-service dive shop offers a variety of technical and recreational equipment, excursions and classes.

The inhouse dive master, Gene Peterson, has been an instructor since 1976 and is an avid wreck diver, logging over 4800 off the North Atlantic from Florida to Newfoundland. He will take you through scuba courses no matter your experience level. You will learn the fundamentals in order to explore the underwater world safely. It requires two class sessions and four pool sessions at Cape May County Technical School.

In addition to beginners, Atlantic Divers offers classes for the more experienced diver. They provide refresher courses for divers to reevaluate their skills, advanced training on shipwreck history, equipment handling and expedition planning, as well as technical training to qualify divers to extend their bottom time, lessen surface intervals and maximize every dive.

Atlantic Divers is the leader in North Atlantic Wreck Diving and has been for over four decades. They have a variety of wreck-diving adventure trips to satisfy every level of enthusiast. These include overnight trips, group travel trips, camping, and diving expeditions to fantastic offshore wreck sites. Destinations include New Jersey, Maine, Virginia Beach, North Carolina, Nova Scotia, Bahamas and more.

Wreck diving in Cape May allows you to witness sea life up close — the pelagic fish that travel up and down the coast, whales, dolphins, seals and more. You can also see tankers, destroyers, German u-boats and American submarines. Gene has recovered and preserved thousands of artifacts throughout his career — you can find these at places such as the Museum of Cape May County, the New Jersey Maritime Museum, the Bayshore Center at Bivalve and the online museum at njwreckdivers.com.

Atlantic Divers is open seven days a week, year-round and is ready to get you in the water on your next adventure!

Insider Tip: Atlantic Divers has the largest schedule on the mid-Atlantic coast for wreck dives — from Florida to Newfoundland. In short, this is the mecca of shipwreck diving!
