Cape May Brewing Company

Serving great brews and fun times at the shore for over ten years!

WHERE IS IT? At Cape May Airport, perfectly situated for a first stop on your way down to Cape May, or a nostalgic bookend to your trip.

WHY SHOULD I GO? Because beer is awesome! CMBC started in 2011, with three guys making one beer in a 1,500-square-foot space. Now, they’ve got nearly 90,000 square feet of space and offer more than 100 flagship, seasonal and small-batch brews. Their original space is now dedicated to experimental and small-batch brewing — sour beers, barrel-aged brews, and whatnot — with a separate, industrial brewing building across the field.

The Tasting Room has an interactive, self-guided tour, designed in a style reminiscent of Wildwood boardwalk. Play games, pose for photos, and learn how grain, hops, yeast and water become beer. With 23 taps, there’s sure to be something on tap for every taste. Get a flight of four beers with a souvenir glass, or try a pint of Cape May’s O.G. brew, Cape May IPA. You can explore the expansive space, which includes an indoor area near the bar, additional rooms on the opposite side surrounding the sour facility and an attached Beer Garden patio. Before you leave, make sure to visit the Brewtique gift shop for great deals on comfy swag, accessories, gifts and beer to-go in cans or growler fills.

INSIDER TIP New Jersey doesn’t allow production breweries to serve food, but feel free to bring your own or check the CMBC website for the food truck schedule!
